A workshop for people interested in exploring their own illness and healing experiences.
In the workshop we will look into the following questions through Biography and Social Art - in artistic images, writing, drawing, and speaking and listening.
What does it mean that an “…illness can become a ‘shortened biography?”
What is the connection between an illness and “maturing” as a human being?
How might “A Medicine of Meaning” found within our biography awaken healing forces?
What can we say about the Raphael as the Archangel of the art of healing?
Meet the Facilitator…
Douglas Garrett received certification as a Biography and Social Art facilitator in 2021 from the Center for Biography and Social Art. He has worked since then with groups and in one-with-one sessions exploring topics such as health, turning points and destiny, and working with obstacles/challenges. He has a particular calling towards what Biography and Social Art in one-with-one sessions might contribute to people working with with illness challenges through discovering in them “A Medicine of Meaning.”
